Summer Music Program
Summer band and strings registration materials are available from your music teacher, in the school office, and can be downloaded here (click More + to view). Students should return their completed registration form and fee to their instrumental music teacher by Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Opportunity for Incoming Kindergarten Students
Mission Transition offers children who are entering kindergarten in August with the opportunity to develop social skills while exploring beginning literacy and math concepts.
Each session begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m. Students may attend any or all of the dates at no cost.
Apply Now for Summer School
Applications are currently being accepted for summer school. This year, credit recovery course offerings will be made available online through CAOLA and will be monitored by West Shore staff. Application and tuition monies are due by June 12, 2019. A $25 late registration fee will be assessed per course for any application and tuition received after 1 p.m. on June 12, 2019. Bookmobile Dates, Times, and Locations
Join the West Shore School District as we kick off another fun-filled summer of Driving Literacy Home. Children in pre-school through high school are invited to join us at one or more of the locations listed and pick out a free book. Special thanks to our volunteer drivers and host sites for helping us Drive Literacy Home!
Summer Office Hours & Report Card Information
For a seven-week period from June 17–August 2, all District schools and the Administration Center for Education will be open Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays. In addition, fourth marking period report cards will be available for pick up at each school during regular work hours by Monday, June 24 and may also be accessed online after June 13 via PowerSchool.
Incoming 2019-2020 Freshman - Patriot Challenge!
Welcome to Red Land! Move Up Day was a great success and it was very exciting seeing all of your smiling faces! Make sure you complete the form that was given to you and return it to your school office by May 31, 2019, for the special event planned for August 7th at Red Land for all incoming freshman! It's a great way to spend a summer day and meet all of your classmates!!
2019 Patriot Challenge Sign Up!
Revised 2018-2019 School Calendar Adopted
It is now official, the last day of school for students will be an Early Dismissal on Friday, June 7. On April 16, 2019, the Board of School Directors adopted a revised 2018-2019 school calendar (available as an attachment below) which does not require students to make-up the February 12 and February 20 weather related closings. However, in order for professional staff to reach their contractual 191 work days, two additional days were added for teachers.
Kids & Teens Eat Free This Summer
From June 17 through August 16, the West Shore School District, in partnership with Sodexo, will offer free breakfast and lunch service! No registration is needed for children up to 18 years-old, regardless of their family’s economic status or district of residence, to obtain a free breakfast and/or lunch.
All-Sports Physicals for the 2019-2020 School Year
UPDATED TIMES: The West Shore School District, in cooperation with Red Cedar Family Practice, is pleased to offer PIAA all-sports physicals for all current sixth through eleventh grade students who are planning to participate on an athletic team offered by the West Shore School District during the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.

THANK YOU to all who submitted feedback on the 2019-2020 proposed school calendar. After careful review of the comments, concerns, and questions received, on February 21, 2019, the Board of School Directors adopted a calendar for next school year.
