Free Meals This Summer - June 13 - August 11

To ensure our children continue receiving meals throughout the summer months, the West Shore School District is once again offering a free summer meals program! From June 13 through August 11, all kids up to age 18 can receive free breakfast and lunch on Mondays through Thursdays regardless of their family’s economic status or school district of residence.

Mental Health Service Assistance Available to Families and Staff

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The goal of this month is to break the stigma around mental health and encourage people to seek help. In support of Mental Health Awareness Month and our ongoing commitment to the well-being of our students, staff, and families, we have partnered with Care Solace to provide an additional layer of care for our community.

Looking Ahead: School Calendar for 2022-2023

THANK YOU to all who submitted feedback on the 2022-2023 proposed school calendar. After careful review of the comments, concerns, and questions, the Board of School Directors adopted a calendar for next school year. I have attached a copy (see bottom of the email) for your reference and planning.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-2023 School Year is Now Open!

Registration for Kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year is now OPEN. If your child will be 5 years of age before October 1, 2022, they are eligible to begin kindergarten next school year. Registration is completely online with step-by-step directions on our Registration page. Click here to begin the registration process.  We look forward to meeting the class of 2035!

2022-2023 Budget Development Presentations

Throughout the school year, the Board and administration work to prepare a budget for the following school year. Presentations made to the Board during the budget development process are posted on the Business Office Department website for the public after they are shared at the Board Meetings. Summer Office Hours

From June 13–August 12, all District schools and the Administration Center for Education will be open Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays. In addition, District offices and meal location sites will be closed July 4 in honor of Independence Day. Due to summer trainings and staff vacation time, hours at the individual schools will vary each day. Please contact the building prior to your visit to confirm someone will be available to assist you.

Teacher's Choice...A Virtual Faculty and Student Art Exhibit

Our Art Department staff members truly practice what they teach and this year we are proudly hosting a Virtual Faculty and Student Art Exhibit featuring some inspiring pieces! Work featured can be seen online until August 1.
