Facility Requests

New Online Facility Request System

Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, the West Shore School District will utilize an online Facilities Reservation system. The system provides an easy-to-use web portal for all District staff members, community groups, and outside organizations to reserve District facilities.

From athletic fields to cafeterias and libraries, every facilities request can be done completely online using FMX, our new online scheduling/usage system.

After making an account, registered users can:

  • Note reoccurring events in any request
  • Note any specific details related to your facility needs
  • Upload documents required for reservations
  • Save account information such as address and contact details 

Please follow the instructions below to create an account and schedule your event. A video is also available below to guide you through the new system and if you have any questions you may contact Tracy Ort at tort@wssd.k12.pa.us.

  1. Go to https://wssd.gofmx.com/login
  2. Click on the log in button in the center if you already have an account. Click "Need an account?" if it is your first time logging in. District staff members may click "Log in with Google" and use their .bz email address to log in.
  3. Review the calendar for availabilty.
  4. Click the red "+ New request" button in the upper right to schedule your request.
  5. Complete the New Schedule Request page and click the green "Submit" button at the bottom. 
 
You will receive an email stating your request was submitted. You will then receive an email every time the school responds, denies or approves the request, keeping you up to date on your event.  
 
A completed request must be submitted to the West Shore School District if interested in using a District facility.  To ensure timely processing, all requests shoud be submitted 60 days in advance of the requested usage date. 

Guidelines for use of District facilities by chartered organizations within the West Shore School District are outlined in Board Policy 707.

Group Designations

Category Descriptions and Associated Fees

Category A
School district sponsored programs and school district sponsored clubs & activities (e.g. athletics, student activities, etc.).

Fees: No Facility Use Charge

Category B
School support organizations and employee support organizations (e.g. parent teacher organizations booster clubs, WSEA, etc.) and non-profit youth recreation organizations located in West Shore School District.

Fees: Facility fee if applicable, security fee, technical fee, custodial fee, maintenance/grounds, cafeteria fee, kitchen fee, damages to facilities, and other such costs plus applicable fee as designated on Fee Schedule.

Category C
Activities sponsored by West Shore Recreation & Leisure Services, other non-profit organizations located in West Shore School District, and other institutions of learning.

Fees: Applicable fee as designated on Fee Schedule and security fee, technical fee, custodial fee, maintenance/grounds, cafeteria fee, kitchen fee, damages to facilities, and other such costs.

Category D
Any group not identified in A, B or C.

Fees: Applicable fee as designated on Fee Schedule and security fee, technical fee, custodial fee, maintenance/grounds, cafeteria fee, kitchen fee, damages to facilities, and other such costs.


District facilities shall not be made available for private entertainment, parties or profit.
 
The District, reserves the right to determine the support personnel needed for the agreed upon usage.
