The Education Policy and Leadership Center (EPLC) is hosting a series of important Zoom events on April 2, 14, and 15, aimed at tackling one of the most pressing issues in Pennsylvania’s education system: what education does each child in the state truly need to succeed? These virtual gatherings will provide a platform for discussion among educators, policymakers, community leaders, and stakeholders about the current state of education, the challenges faced by school districts, and how to ensure equitable educational opportunities for all students.

Congratulations to Old Trail Intermediate's Mylah Bordner and her 'Halibut with Lemon Butter Sauce' for winning first place! Mylah will now move on to regional competition with her culinary delight. 

March is Youth Art Month, a nationally recognized celebration of the contributions of young people to the arts. Again, this school year, the West Shore School District, in partnership with Lamar Advertising and the District’s Partners in Education, will be showcasing student art on 18 billboards placed throughout West Shore and our neighboring communities. Congratulations to this year's featured artists.

The Board of Directors approved the 2025-2026 school calendar at the meeting of the Board on February 13, 2025.

The Academic Bowl, sponsored by the West Shore Foundation, is designed for students throughout the District in grades four through eight to showcase their general knowledge across a vast spectrum of topics. Brackets for the competition are posted here.

The West Shore School District has earned recognition for its dedication to active-duty military members and their families.

During the Board of Directors reorganization meeting on Thursday, December 5th, the Board elected Mrs. Kelly J. Brent as Board President and Mrs. Mandy L. Davis as Board Vice President.
