2021 Academic Bowl Competition sponsored by the West Shore Foundation

The Academic Bowl, sponsored by the West Shore Foundation, is designed for students throughout the District in grades four through eight to showcase their general knowledge across a vast spectrum of topics. The competitions consist of double elimination academic contests that stress immediate individual and team recall of factual information in the areas of art, entertainment, geography, grammar & usage, history, literature, mathematics, music, science, sports, television, theater, and world events.

Celebrating Black History Month and Honoring Our Black Heroes

In addition to discussions which will naturally occur during social studies and history classes, the West Shore School District will be honoring black heroes during the month of February.  We encourage our school community to join us in honoring the accomplishments, innovations, and contributions of black Americans past and present who have helped shape our country.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year is Now Open!

Registration for Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year is now OPEN. If your child will be 5 years of age before October 1, 2021, they are eligible to begin kindergarten next school year.

Free Grab-and-Go Bagged Meals

Meal Program Information for the 2020-2021 School Year

All students are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch for free the entire school year.  Thanks to changes in regulations, that includes students who are in person and those who are continuing to work remotely with Distance Learning 2.0. We have also expanded our Grab-and-Go Bagged Meal program to include afternoon hours at select schools. For additional information, please click here.

The District is very pleased to share a completed 3D rendering of the new Rossmoyne Elementary School. We are thrilled to see the conversations and feedback collected from administrators, students, parents, teachers, and the community come to life in this video.  As you watch, we hope you will share in our pride and excitement.
