The newest edition of West Shore School District’s Points of Pride is now available, with copies beginning to arrive in mailboxes throughout the community.

Some of the topics in this issue include: First Day Video Release, Transportation Update, Hometown Ticketing, 2026-2027 Calendar & Family Guide, and Cause for Applause.

The Board of School Directors adopted a resolution recognizing the 250th anniversary of the United States of America at its meeting on July 16, 2026.

Families interested in West Shore School District's Virtual Learning Academy should submit an inquiry by August 10 to be considered for the first day of school.

Congratulations to Cedar Cliff's Katherine Eisenhower and Allen/New Cumberland's Jillian Galle for being named Employees of the Fourth Quarter, and Cedar Cliff's Mark Miller and the District's Cathy Books for being named Employees of the Year!

As we look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, the District is preparing for renovations at Allen Middle School as part of our long-term facilities plan. 

We are pleased to announce that West Shore School District is working in new ways to further protect our students on their journey to and from school. The District has partnered with BusPatrol to launch a new School Bus Safety Program in line with PA Motor Vehicle Code § 3345. 

Our District’s Points of Pride magazine has always celebrated the achievements, stories, and voices that make our schools extraordinary. Now, we’re excited to bring those same inspiring stories to life in a brand-new way — as a podcast!

The Academic Bowl, sponsored by the West Shore Foundation, is designed for students throughout the District in grades four through eight to showcase their general knowledge across a vast spectrum of topics. Brackets for the competition are posted here.
