Keeping Our Schools Open: COVID-19 Information

covid alert
As we did during the 2021-2022 school year, we will continuously monitor and assess health information pertaining to COVID-19; requirements received from PDE, DOH, or any other regulatory agency; and information from local health care providers to determine best practices moving forward and to guide our decision making. For information and answers to frequently asked questions related to our plans for this school year, please visit:

Get ready to smile! Our annual first day video is easily one of our favorite West Shore traditions. Wishing our students, families, and staff a fantastic school year. Thank you for choosing to live, work, and learn with us.

Every effort was made to ensure all photos submitted were included. Now that the video is complete and has been published, we are no longer able to accept photo submissions.

Important Information Regarding School Safety – September 30

Prior to the start of the elementary school day on Friday, September 30, a First Student bus driver shared that a Rossmoyne Elementary student was in possession of bullets on the school bus. Fortunately, the student did not make any threats or have any other items beside the magazine clip of bullets. Dr. Stoltz felt it was important to make our entire school community aware of the incident and to use it as an opportunity to ask for our school communities continued partnership in keeping our schools and buses safe. Student Accident Insurance Information

The District does not carry medical insurance on students; however, it does provide parents with the opportunity to select a primary excess group insurance plan for their child. Since many group insurance policies no longer pay full hospital and medical expenses and many require a deductible or co-insurance, student accident insurance can help eliminate the possibility of out-of-pocket expenses.  There are two plans available for your consideration. Please click here for more details and information on enrollment.
