What if a student doesn’t have access to the internet at home?
iPads and Chromebooks have the ability to work offline. If a student does not have internet access at home, they can still access apps (Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides) by enabling offline mode.

Apple for the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program. This FCC program was created to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, and so much more. Qualifying individuals will receive up to $50 per month for internet costs, paid directly to their internet provider by the EBB program.

The District does have a limited supply of “hot spots” that are designed to work with District-issued devices.
