Professional Learning Opportunities

2022-2023 Professional Learning Opportunities

We are pleased to present the summer academy offerings for the 2022-2023 school year.

Numerous learning opportunities are available to professional employees. Participating in summer academies, designing a summer academy, holding parent clinics, and participating in District committees are some of the choices.
While browsing through the booklet, please notice the arrangement of academies by areas of focus:

  • Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment
  • Technology Integration
  • Student Wellness/Supporting Students
  • Instructional Design: Curriculum Development, Review & Prioritization
  • Committee Assignments During the 2022-2023 School Year

Professionals at each level should design their professional learning plan based upon individual goals, building/department goals, and District initiatives. The two exchange days will be June 5 and June 6, 2023. We encourage you to take advantage of as many offerings as you desire. Although supplemental offerings do not count for additional exchange days, they do count toward Act 48 hours. In addition, professionals taking three or more days of academies will receive a certificate of recognition and may use this as domain 4 evidence. A reminder that professionals who select a repeat academy for which they previously earned Act 48 credit will not receive Act 48 credit again.

  • Schoology courses will open June 13 and close on August 22 (Access Codes will be listed within the Frontline session description by June 13).

  • For any session that utilizes Zoom you'll find the link within the Frontline description, or directly from the presenter.

Online workshops offered by the CAIU, PaTTAN, Safe Schools, and other reputable organizations may count as an exchange day for teaching and non-teaching professionals, program specialists, licensed professionals, and professionals with unique roles and functions with pre-approval by the direct supervisor and central administration.

  • If you receive a certificate or other evidence of completion of a course, please upload this to your File Library in Frontline Professional Growth, and notify Lisa Hicks ([email protected]) upon completion.

As always, completion of the evaluation is required for each workshop within Frontline.

We hope that you find the professional learning opportunities meaningful and that you will be able to integrate new learning into your role.
