June is National Caribbean-American Heritage Month and Pride Month (LGBTQIAA+). We encourage our school community to join us in celebrating our diversity!

Early Dismissal/Last Day for Students
Friday, June 3
Middle and High School students will be dismissed at 11 a.m. 
Elementary students will be dismissed at noon. 
Afternoon kindergarten and KAP will not be held on Friday. 
Lunch will not be served.

Fourth Quarter Grades
Grades for the fourth marking period will be available online in PowerSchool no later than Monday, June 20. To view and print grades in the traditional report card style, please click the "Report Cards" tab on the left after logging into the PowerSchool website (not available in the app). Parents, if you need to set up a PowerSchool account or would like to request a printed version of your child’s report card, please contact your child's building secretary.

Graduation Ceremonies for the Class of 2022
Saturday, June 4, Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex
Cedar Cliff High School - 10 a.m.
Red Land High School - 1:30 p.m.
Parking is free and all are welcome to join us. Ceremonies will also be professionally livestreamed.  Please direct those who wish to watch the livestream to the District's Commencement website (click here). Links to each broadcast will be posted on that page on Saturday approximately 30 min. prior to the start of the ceremony. Ceremonies can also be rewatched after they end.

Annual Retiree and Employee Recognition Dinner
Tuesday, June 14, 5:15-7:45 p.m., Cedar Cliff High School Cafeteria

Extended School Year (ESY) 
Tuesday, July 5 through Thursday, July 28
Available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for eligible students in our Special Education program. Please contact Ms. Jennifer Homoki, Supervisor of Special Education, with questions.

SAVE THE DATE: Clothing Swap
January 17-20, 2023, Cedar Cliff High School Library
Donations are currently being accepted for next year's Clothing Swap. New and gently used clothing, shoes, and blankets may be dropped off at Highland Elementary and Cedar Cliff High School during school office hours. Items donated will be made available to our school community during the Clothing Swap in January. Thank you in advance for your support. 

Will we see you this summer?
Driving Literacy Home Bookmobile
We have the dates and locations "booked" for this summer!  Children in preschool through high school are invited to join us at one or more locations to pick out a free book. Click here for the complete listing of dates and locations where you can catch up with the bookmobile. Special thanks to our volunteer drivers and host sites for helping us Drive Literacy Home!

Free Summer Meals
To ensure our children continue receiving meals throughout the summer months, the West Shore School District is once again offering a free summer meals program! From June 13 through August 11, all kids up to age 18 can receive free breakfast and lunch on Mondays through Thursdays regardless of their family’s economic status or school district of residence. Menus, times, and locations can be found on our website, click here.

Mobile Food Pantry
In partnership with New Hope Ministries, a mobile pantry will be located at Red Land High School on Tuesday, June 21, and Tuesday, July 26, from 3:30-5 p.m.  All are welcome to come out and pick up food items from the pantry.

Summer Office Hours
From June 13–August 12, all District schools and the Administration Center for Education will be open Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays. In addition, District offices and meal location sites will be closed July 4 in honor of Independence Day. Due to summer trainings and staff vacation time, hours at the individual schools will vary each day. Please contact the building prior to your visit to confirm someone will be available to assist you.
