PA American Legion Scholarships:  The Legion offers an assortment of scholarhips to seniors.  All information is available online:  http://pa-legion.com/programs/student-programs/  Variety of awards, requirements and due dates.

Sergeant Philip German Memorial Scholarship: Dependents of US military veterans are eligible for award up to $3000 for college tuition.  Applications in guidance file and on Naviance.  DEADLINE:  5/5/23
 
Irvin E. Herr Foundation:  Awards up to $2000 payable directly to college for tuition costs eligible to graduating seniors pursuing higher education.  Criteria include applicant character, academic record, goals and achievements and financial need.  Applications in guidance file and on Naviance.  DEADLINE:  4/14/23

Epilepsy Assn of Western and Central PA Scholarship Program:  Students with epilepsy/seizure disorder may apply for these scholarships for post high school education. All information online:  www.2023EAWCPscholarshipapplication.pdf , Naviance and in guidance files.  DEADLINE:  4/3/23
 
Penn Cumberland Garden Club Scholarship:  $1000 awarded to senior attending 4 year program following graduation in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Architecture, Conservation, Forestry, Urban or Regional Planning, Environmental Science, Botany or plant/ecology related studies.  Applications available on Naviance, in guidance file and online:  www.penncumberlandgardenclub.org  DEADLINE:  3/31/23
 
New Cumberland High School Class of 1956 Scholarship:  $600 2023 educational award available to senior in top 2/5 of class who will further their education in any field.  Applications on Naviance and in guidance file.  DEADLINE:  4/28/23
 
The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC):  This organization offers a wide variety of scholarships to local seniors going onto further education. Students may view selection of scholarships and the info on how to apply.  www.tfec.org  and @ Scholarship Search - The Foundation For Enhancing Communities (tfec.org).  Deadlines vary.
 
Engineering Society of York:  Seniors who will go on the education in the engineering fields are eligible to apply for the Edgar Kable Scholarship.  Based on need, academic record and extracurricular activities will be the criteria for this $2000 award (renewable).  All info and applications online:  https://tesoy.org/community-support/scholarship-overview-high-school/  DEADLINE:  3/31/23
 
West Shore Secretaries and Aides Assn. (WSSAA) Scholarship:  RL and CC seniors are eligible for this $1500 award.  Students furthering their education in Business (finance, accounting or marketing), Computer Science or Education should apply.  Essay and recommendations required.  Applications on Naviance or in guidance file.  DEADLINE:  4/21/23

Newberry Elementary PTO Scholarship Award:  Seniors who attended Newberry Elementary School for at least three years are eligible to apply for this $500 award based on academic and extracurricular success, financial need, and a sense of goals for the future.  Applications on Naviance and in guidance file.  DEADLINE:  4/14/23
 
Northern York County Game and Fish Assn:  $500 award to seniors planning college majors in Biology (not pre-med), Conservation, Forestry, Botany, Environmental Control, Land Management, Wildlife Sciences, Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Pre-veterinarian and related studies. Essay required. Applications in guidance file and on Naviance.  DEADLINE:  4/21/23
 
Richard L Boyd Workers’ Memorial Day Essay Contest/AFL-CIO: York County seniors who will pursue higher education may apply for this $500 award.  Essay required.  Info on Naviance and in guidance files.  DEADLINE:  4/10/23
 
Women’s Club of New Cumberland and Highland:  $500 scholarship for seniors in top 2/5 of class who will pursue higher education in any field of study.  Applications on Naviance and in guidance file.  DEADLINE:  4/12/23
 
West Shore Elks “America & Me” Scholarships:  Four $1500 awards for local seniors going on to four year program at college or university.  Essay required.  Applications on Naviance and in guidance file.  DEADLINE: 4/17/23

West Shore Sertoma Club:  $1000 scholarship offered to senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a speech and hearing field of study.  GPA 3.2+.  Applications of Naviance and in guidance file.  DEADLINE:  4/1/23
 
PA Assn of School Retirees (CCPASR): Two $1000 scholarships offered to graduating seniors who will major in Education in college. Awards based on school record (not just academics), financial need, recommendations and essay.  Application on Naviance and in guidance file.  DEADLINE:  4/1/23
 
New Cumberland Olde Towne Foundation Scholarships:  Two scholarships (1 $1000 and 1 $500) to graduating senior at RLHS who will pursue a two or four year degree following graduation. Awards based on academics, leadership and community service. Applications on Naviance and in guidance file.  DEADLINE:  4/3/23
 
Kiwanis of the West Shore/Key Club: $1000 scholarship offered to RLHS Key Club senior who will pursue a 2 or 4 year degree program following graduation based on leadership, academics and community service.  Applications in guidance file and on Naviance.  DEADLINE: 4/14/23
 
Commonwealth Fire Protection CO (CFPC)/Scott & Hoffnagle Scholarship:  Seniors who will pursue higher education with a GPA of 2.5+ may apply for a variety of awards from this company based on academic and scholastic achievement, community involvement and activities.  Applications in guidance file and on Naviance. Essay required.  DEADLINE:  5/12/23
 
York County Youth Mental Health Alliance/The Silence Ends Here Scholarship:  Two $1500 scholarships offered to York County seniors who will enroll in post secondary education (two/four year college or technical/trade school) who have helped promote mental health education and support during high school.  Essay required. Road to Safety Scholarship Contest/Metzger Wickersham Law Firm:  Pennsylvania college-bound high school seniors may submit a creative project about the dangers of drunk driving or distracted driving for their chance to win college scholarship money. First, second and third place winners will be selected by our panel of judges and will receive $1,000, $750 and $500 scholarships, respectively. Red Mill Elementary PTO Scholarship:  Seniors who attended RLES for at least three years and will continue their education beyond graduation are eligible to apply for this $1000 scholarship. Final decision based on Community Service (25%), Scholastic record (30%), non-academic activities (20%) and interview (25%). Applications in guidance file and on Naviance.  DEADLINE:  4/5/23
 
Bob Craig Youth Foundation Scholarships:  One qualifying senior from Red Land HS, CCHS and CPAVTC will be awarded a $2000 scholarship based on academics, leadership and community service.  Seniors must be going on to higher education.  Applications on Naviance and in guidance file.  DEADLINE:  4/13/23
 
RL All Sports Booster Assn Scholarships:  Three RL senior boys and three RL senior girls will receive varying awards based on 50% academics and 50% athletics.  Only RLHS athletics are considered. Applications in guidance file and on Naviance.  All applications to Mrs. Resto prior to 5/1/23
 
Lowther Manor Lodge 781 Free & Accepted Masons Scholarship: $1000 scholarships offered to seniors who will pursue 4 year program resulting in Bachelor’s Degree.  Awards based on academics, activities, financial need and goals. Finalists will be interviewed.  Applications in guidance file and on Naviance.  DEADLINE:  4/14/23 
 
Red Land Women’s Club Scholarships:  Two $1000 scholarships offered to senior continuing education in either baccalaureate or associate degree program based on academic and extracurricular history.  All applicants will be interviewed.  Applications in guidance file or on Naviance.  DEADLINE:  4/21/23

Pillars of Excellence / West Shore Foundation Scholarships:  2 $1000 scholarships awarded to RL seniors whose experiences and goals relate to one of the 5 Pillars of Excellence the Foundation supports:  Academics, Arts & Culture, Athletics, Innovation, and Community Wellness.  Essay required.  Online application and submission at https://westshorefoundation.org/work/awards  DEADLINE:  4/15/23

West Shore Education Assn (WSEA) Scholarship:  All college bound seniors may apply for this $500 award.  Preference will be given to those pursuing a career in an educational/child services field.  Applications in guidance file and on Naviance and should be returned to Mrs. Resto.  DEADLINE:  5/3/23
