Welcome to Newberry Elementary School's webpage. We have a lot of great things happening at Newberry.
I also encourage you to browse the district's webpage. This is a great resource to find the school calendar, early dismissals, no school days, and many planned special events.
Our PTO meetings are open for any Newberry parent / guardian to attend. PTO meetings this year will be held on the following dates: 9/9, 11/4, 1/6, 3/2, and 5/4 at 6:00 p.m. in Newberry’s Library. We welcome your attendance to learn how you can help support Newberry students.
Morning drop-off procedures start at 8:30 a.m. - All doors will be locked and no supervision will be provided prior to 8:30 a.m. Parent drop off occurs in the back of the school just before the back entrance to the cafeteria at door number 8. Students should be able to exit the vehicle independently to keep the line of traffic flowing. To ensure all students safety, we request vehicles to remain in a single file line during this process.
Students riding a bus will be dropped at the front of the building and enter
through door number 13.
Afternoon pick-up procedures at 3:30 p.m. – As in
the past, we ask you to write a note if you wish to pick up your child at
the end of the school day. If you plan to pick up your child on designated days
or for the entire year, indicate such on the blue Daily Dismissal Form, and
your child will be placed on a permanent pick-up list. All pick-up
students will be released from the front lobby, door number 13.
Breakfast & Lunch - The cost of breakfast is $1.65, lunch $2.80, and milk $.60. Checks can be made payable to the WSSD Cafeteria. Menus are located on the District website under the Food Services tab.
Start Time – Students must be in their classrooms by 8:45 a.m. Students
should NOT be dropped off prior to 8:30 a.m. Afternoon kindergarten begins at
12:45 p.m. Dismissal is at 3:30 p.m. If you plan to pick up your child,
please send a note to the classroom teacher.
If you have any questions and/or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the school office at 717-938-2111 or visit the main office. I look forward to another great year with parent and community partnerships focused on our future leaders, the students as they Dream, Work, and Achieve their goals.
