District Facility Use During Pandemic

With the most recent stay-at-home orders issued by the Governor and the likelihood that our entire community will be included in those orders soon, the District wants to reinforce the importance of adhering to the restrictions and recommendations given by government agencies about gatherings of groups of people and maintaining social distancing. Free Grab-and-Go Bagged Meals

Free Grab-and-Go Bagged Meals

The West Shore School District will offer Free Grab-and-Go Bagged Meals for all children from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, at four designated locations. Lunch for that day and breakfast for the following day will be included in each bag. Similar to the summer meal program, all children 18 and younger are welcome to participate. Looking Ahead: 2020-2021 School Calendar

We received more than 560 responses to our calendar survey this year. After careful review of the comments, concerns, and questions received, one change to the proposed calendar was made; November 30, will be a non-school day, and in exchange, April 1, will be a student day. RESULTS: 2020 Academic Bowl Competition sponsored by the West Shore Foundation

The Academic Bowl, sponsored by the West Shore Foundation, is designed for students throughout the District in grades four through eight to showcase their general knowledge across a vast spectrum of topics. The competitions consist of double elimination academic contests that stress immediate individual and team recall of factual information in the areas of art, entertainment, geography, grammar & usage, history, literature, mathematics, music, science, sports, television, theater, and world events.  The Academic Bowl will begin on January 21, 2020 with eighth grade. The District is very pleased to share a completed 3D rendering of the new Rossmoyne Elementary School. In January, after PDE released its Future Ready Index for the 2018-2019 school year, we as a District reflected on our measures of success as well. We invite you to take a few minutes to join us in looking back on last school year and the many reasons we are #WestShoreProud!
