District Health and Safety Plan

health and safety cover
The District worked diligently to develop a Health and Safety Plan for the safe reopening of schools. In addition to the Pandemic Team identified in the Plan, the District sought the feedback of numerous key stakeholder groups, including local physicians; legal counsel; District nurses; teachers; food services, maintenance and custodial staff; building and department administrators; and survey and email feedback from students, staff, and parents.

While it may be necessary to revise the Plan as conditions evolve, on August 20, 2020, the Board of School Directors approved a Health and Safety Plan. On November 25, 2020, per PDE and PA DOH's request, the District signed an Attestation Form ensuring our implementation of mitigation efforts. Community Updates from the Superintendent

In recent weeks, we have seen an increase in the number of reported positive cases of COVID-19 in our school communities. Although case counts and quarantine numbers have increased, there is nothing to suggest our schools are unsafe or that they are contributing to the spread of the virus. Click the MORE + link below to read messages sent to school staff and families from the superintendent regarding our decision to remain open.
