Celebrating Youth Art Month

March is National Youth Art Month and we are celebrating! The District has partnered with 15 business sponsors and Lamar Advertising to organize a community-wide billboard display. This year's billboards feature artwork from all 15 of our school communities. Lamar reproduced each student's work digitally for the Youth Art Month billboards which will be on display throughout the month. More +

Board Adopts Resolution Calling for Reform of Cyber Charter School Funding

At its meeting on Thursday, March 21, 2019, the Board adopted a resolution supporting Senate Bill 34 and House Bill 526 for school districts providing their own cyber learning program.  The resolution calls for reform of funding for cyber charter schools. More +

Looking Ahead - 2019-2020 School Calendar

THANK YOU to all who submitted feedback on the 2019-2020 proposed school calendar. After careful review of the comments, concerns, and questions received, on February 21, 2019, the Board of School Directors adopted a calendar for next school year.

Congratulations to our 2019 Future Chefs Culinary Competition Finalists!

Once again, Sodexo has sponsored a culinary competition for students in grades 1-5.  This year's theme...Fiesta Fit - Healthy Mexican Recipes!  Sodexo received over 40 entries and it gives us great pleasure to announce the finalists who will compete at Allen Middle School on Thursday, March 28, 2019. The winner of that event will be entered into a national competition for some great prizes! More +

2019 Academic Bowl Competition sponsored by the West Shore Foundation

UPDATED WITH RESULTS: The Academic Bowl, sponsored by the West Shore Foundation, is designed for students throughout the District in grades four through eight to showcase their general knowledge across a vast spectrum of topics. The competitions consist of double elimination academic contests that stress immediate individual and team recall of factual information in the areas of art, entertainment, geography, grammar & usage, history, literature, mathematics, music, science, sports, television, theater, and world events.   More +

3D Preview of the New Rossmoyne Elementary

The District is very pleased to share a completed 3D rendering of the new Rossmoyne Elementary School. We are thrilled to see the conversations and feedback collected from administrators, students, parents, teachers, and the community come to life in this video.  As you watch, we hope you will share in our pride and excitement. Our goal (pending final permits and a smooth construction process) is to open the building for the 2020-2021 school year! More +
