The Board met in regular session on Tuesday, March 16, with President Kambic presiding.
A recording of the National Anthem performed by Red Land High School's Choral Quartet comprised of Seniors Mayson Bryant, Georgia Halley, Timmy Seiferth, and Reagan Starrett, was played to start the meeting.
Minutes
The minutes of the meetings held February 11 and 18, 2021, were approved.
Treasurer’s Report
The Board approved the Treasurer’s Report for the month ending February 28, 2021, showing invested and available funds of $44,480,594.65.
Communications
Dr. Stoltz indicated the latest legal update from the solicitor’s office was available for Board members.
Dr. Argot shared the Central Treasury Reports for Cedar Cliff and Red Land High Schools.
Mrs. Tierney provided more details about the West Shore Foundation, including the intent to award innovation grants in the next couple of weeks, and Dr. Stoltz added that the Foundation recently supported Red Land High School Baseball’s Capital Campaign.
Mrs. Moyer highlighted an opportuity through the Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School for students to participate in a
Fire and Rescue Information Night on April 12, 2021.
Recognition by the Board
Youth Art Month 2020 and 2021Once again this year, the District partnered with Lamar Advertising and our Partners in Education to celebrate Youth Art Month with a community-wide billboard display. Mrs. Fourhman shared a presentation recognizing the 2020 and 2021 student billboard artists, their teachers, and sponsors. Board Shout Outs
Dr. Stoltz thanked Capital BlueCross for a recent $1,500 donation and gave a shout out to the Food Service Department for providing 419,254 total meals since March 17, 2020.
Mr. Stoltenburg commended New Cumberland Middle School on its virtual performance of
A Sherlock Holmes Radio Mystery and Mrs. Tierney applauded the high schools on their student productions.

Dr. Whye introduced the District's new
ExCEL Virtual Learning Academy and provided the Board and community with information about the process used to develop the academy and its offerings.

Dr. Whye reviewed challenges from this school year and shared information related to the District's plans to support student success.
