Free Online SAT Prep Course Now Available

The District is pleased to announce the launch of a FREE online SAT prep course for students in grades 11 and 12 attending Cedar Cliff and Red Land high schools.

This comprehensive SAT prep course is offered through our Virtual Learning Academy, ExCEL, and includes:

SAT Remediation: Whether your child has already taken the SAT or is planning to do so in the future, this prep course offers targeted lessons and practice materials designed to help improve their SAT scores.

High School Credit Option: For students who complete both the math and critical reading/writing sections successfully, .5 credit may be obtained towards their graduation requirements. The course is graded as a Pass/No Pass and will not have an impact on the student’s GPA.

Benefits of the SAT Prep Course:
  • Teacher Monitoring - A certified high school teacher will be monitoring the progress of students in the course and provide online support.
  • Course Content - Students don’t have to be a good test taker to improve their SAT score. The prep course provides strategies, content review, and practice opportunities to help students feel more confident.
  • Flexibility - The online format allows students to access course materials and complete assignments at their own pace. For the fall offering, students will have from October 16 through December 1 to complete coursework.
  • Cost - The course is offered at no cost to families or students.

Prep Course Registration Due by Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
