Phase 2: Learning Options

Learning Options Effective January 19, 2021

Elementary: Grade K-5

Option 1: In Person Four Days  
In person learning Monday through Thursday with Distance Learning on Fridays
Grades 1-5 - 8:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Half-Day Kindergarten (A.M.) - 8:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Half-Day Kindergarten (P.M.) - 12:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Fridays will count as cycle days in a 6-day cycle

Option 2: Distance Learning 2.0
Remote learning Monday through Friday
Grades 1-5 -  8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Half-Day Kindergarten (A.M.) - 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Half-Day Kindergarten (P.M.) - 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Classes are staffed by District teachers and contain students from multiple buildings.
Related services, (S/L, OT, and PT) will continue to be offered virtually with the option for in person services at the buildings (parents must provide transportation).

Please note low-incidence classrooms are on-site Monday through Friday during regular school hours.

Middle School: Grades 6-8

Option 1: In Person A/B Split Schedule

Last Names A-K
Mondays and Wednesdays – In Person (7:38 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.)
Tuesdays and Thursdays – Work Remotely from Home*
 
Last Names L-Z

Mondays and Wednesdays – Work Remotely from Home*
Tuesdays and Thursdays – In Person (7:38 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.)
 
Friday
All students follow a Middle School Distance Learning 2.0 schedule (9:00 a.m. - 2:05 p.m.) provided by their school.
Fridays count as cycle days in a 6-day cycle.

*On the days when students are not in school, they must log in to PowerSchool between 6:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to be marked present for the day. Click here for more details.  While working from home, we highly recommend students follow a regular schedule to keep up with the remote learning work. That schedule could follow their regular school day or mirror the Distance Learning 2.0 schedule, but should be consistent.

Option 2: Distance Learning 2.0
Remote learning Monday through Friday 
9:00 a.m. – 2:05 p.m.

CPAVTS students attend vo-tech on the days they are scheduled to be in person at their high school.
