The Board met in regular session on Thursday, November 19, with President Crocenzi presiding.

Minutes
The minutes of the meetings held October 8 and 15, 2020, were approved.
Treasurer’s Report
The Board approved the Treasurer’s Report for the month ending October 31, 2020, showing invested and available funds of $62,096,371.50.
Communications
Dr. Stoltz distributed a copy of the latest legal update from the solicitor’s office.
Dr. Argot shared the Central Treasury Report for Cedar Cliff and Red Land High Schools.
Board Reports Mrs. Tierney shared that the West Shore Foundation’s Virtual Gala raised more than $49,000. She thanked Mr. Maneely, Executive Director, and the Foundation Gala committee for their work to ensure the evening and silent auction were successful.
Mr. Guistwhite provided a detailed summary of the Board Policy Committee meeting and policies currently under review and pending revisions.
Mrs. Crocenzi mentioned that she attended the Capital Area Intermediate Unit Board of Directors meeting and would share minutes from the meeting with members of the Board.
Recognition by the Board
The Board recognized Mrs. Layla Williamson, Instructional Assistant for English Language Development at Highland Elementary School, and Mr. Cory Rowe, Health and Physical Education Teacher at Newberry and Washington Heights Elementary Schools, as the Employees of the First Quarter.
Mrs. Moyer gave a shout out to the Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School Students of the Quarter. She also recognized Cedar Cliff High School Seniors Malik Adams and Marc Grundon on their completion of the York Electricians' Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Bootcamp and thanked Mr. Mark Miller, Cedar Cliff Career Coordinator for his help connecting students with opportunities like this one through YCAL. Lastly, she gave a shout out to the West Shore Marching Band on their first place awards for Best Effect, Percussion, and Visual earlier this month and first place in Creative Class at the USBands Grand Finale competition.

Dr. Stoltz shared that the District recognized Children’s Grief Awareness Day and he highlighted the service projects that students and staff are continuing to participate in that have brought some normalcy to this school year.
