When is the best time for my student to join?
Students do best when they join CAOLA during key transition points in a school year. The best time to begin CAOLA is at the very beginning of the year. When that's not possible, we highly recommend waiting until the end of the second semester or at the beginning of the next quarter marking period. Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on an individual student basis to determine an enrollment date. Decisions will be made with your child’s best interest in mind. We want to provide your child with a smooth transition.

Any student applying for full time or part time cyber school must submit an inquiry on or before the following dates:

  • To begin the 2020-2021 school year: inquiries must be received by August 11, 2020
  • Marking Period 2: inquiries must be received by October 15, 2020 - Start date October 29, 2020 
  • Marking Period 3: inquiries must be received by January 5, 2020 - Start date January 19, 2021 
  • Marking Period 4: inquiries must be received by March 15, 2021 - Start date March 29, 2021

    Applications received after the above dates will be processed for the next marking period.  For example, if an application is submitted on October 16, 2020 or later, it will be processed to start Marking Period 3 with a start date of January 19, 2021.
