7th And 8th Grade Chorus

7th And 8th Grade Chorus

7th And 8th Grade Chorus will meet on Days 1 and 4 during Homeroom.

For the first semester (through the Holiday Concert), grades will be based upon participation and attendance.  Concert Participation is the most weighted grade.  Grades will be affected by poor behavior, poor attitude, and unexcused absences.

After the Holiday Concert I will institute a practice requirement for chorus students.  It's a very successful program that I used with my chorus students during my previous tenure at Lemoyne.

Students must attend all rehearsals and performances!!!

Concert Dates

Tuesday, December 9th at 7:00pm
Tuesday, May 19th at 7:00pm
Concert Attire

For concerts and any other performances, students are expected to wear appropriate clothing.

Girls - Black dress pants or skirt, black shoes, and white shirt.
Boys - Black dress pants, white dress shirt, tie, dark shoes and socks.

Please note - if there is any financial difficulty in obtaining these items for your child, please contact Mrs. Pugliano.  We have a closet full of clothing used for musicals that can be loaned to your child discreetly.

Chorus Rules

Follow Directions
Raise Hand And Wait To Be Called On
NO Talking When The Teacher Is Talking Or Singing
Keep Hands, Feet, And Objects To Yourself
Participate Enthusiastically

Policy For Missed Concerts

Since chorus is a graded course, singing in a concert is equivalent to missing a mid-term or a final exam.  If a student does NOT attend a concert, it is the same as a student missing an exam.  A student is excused only if they are absent from school that day, or the day after a concert.

Adding Chorus

Any student wishing to add chorus to their schedule should see Mrs. Pugliano during the first two cycles of the first and third marking periods.  I encourage anyone who wishes to become a better singer to join this exciting ensemble!
