Due to inclement weather, it was necessary to postpone our Future Educator Open House originally scheduled for January.

 

If you have ever considered becoming a teacher, we hope you will join us on our new date for our Annual Future Educator Open House. 

 

Future Educator Open House

Monday, March 11, 2024, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Administration Center, 507 Fishing Creek Road in Lewisberry

Parking available in front and behind the building.

If you plan to attend, kindly RSVP online by Friday, March 8. If you previously registered to attend the January event, you do not need to RSVP again.

 

During the Open House, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the options available for obtaining your teaching certification and meet with representatives from:

 

•    Eastern University
•    Messiah University
•    Millersville University
•    Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg
•    Shippensburg University
•    Wilson College
•    Capital Area Pathways to Teaching (CAPT)
•    CCRES (offering Special Education Paraprofessional Employment)
•    Substitute Teacher Service (STS)
•    West Shore School District

All are welcome to attend; however, this event will be particularly valuable to current or future high school graduates, individuals in the process of obtaining a degree, and college graduates with a degree in a non-education area. 

 

As a reminder, the West Shore School District has employment opportunities currently available which offer tuition reimbursement for college courses. Professional and support job vacancies can be viewed on our website (click here).
