The Special Interest Program at Red Land High School is designed to meet the needs of gifted and talented students. The program works to develop the strengths of the individual student through group or individual activities. Students can pursue in-depth studies of self-selected topics, group activities or in-depth study of content area in the curriculum. Provisions and opportunities are afforded for the exploration of ideas and concept beyond the regular curriculum. Efforts are made to help individual students develop an awareness of their strengths and talents and the necessary focus to apply those strengths to be successful in the future. The Special Interest program hopes to provide opportunities for all students to achieve an appreciation for learning and growing and becoming better citizens.
“Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habit.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”
