The Jayma Anne Mattern Wooditch Memorial
Scholarship, Deadline: April 15, 2018
scholarship is to recognize and support high school senior students in their
academic pursuits related to culinary arts or nursing care for cancer
patients. In memory of 1970 Cedar Cliff
alumna, Jayma (Mattern) Wooditch, we are offering an annual scholarship to a
deserving student. This annual $750
scholarship will be given to a student either pursuing a career in
culinary/pastry arts or a nursing degree with preference given to students
pursuing oncology nursing. To be
eligible, students should write a minimum 500 word essay on why they are
pursuing their chosen career and why they believe they should receive the
scholarship. Students must currently be enrolled at Cedar Cliff High School,
have a grade point average of 3.0 or above, and been involved in an activity
benefiting other students at Cedar Cliff High School. Verification of
acceptance from an accredited college/university/institute/program must be also
provided before selection. The

Harrisburg Cedarettes #43 Scholarship,
Deadline: March 16, 2018
$500 scholarship award will be presented to a student interested in a medical
field career i.e. nursing, EMT, Medical Assistant, Lab Tech, Dental, etc. The award will be given to a senior who plans
to attend Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) in the Fall of 2018. Applications are available here.
PennLive Best & Brightest,
Deadline: March 9, 2018
The PA Media Group – The Patriot-News and PennLive – will honor 20 high school seniors as the Best & Brightest to represent the potential of the class of 2018. Recipients are featured in The Sunday Patriot-News in May and in a photo gallery, videos and profiles on PennLive. To be eligible, a senior must have at least a B or 3.0 grade point average although a grade point average below 3.0 because of extenuating circumstances does not preclude participation. Selection is based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and service to school, peers and community as well as an autobiographical essay and two letters of recommendation. Mid Penn Bank “Anna Woodside Scholarship”, Deadline: March 16, 2018
scholarship will reward three high school seniors each with $1000 for college
tuition costs. To be considered, applicants

West Shore Sertoma Club’s Scholarship Program, Deadline: April 1, 2018
This is a $1000 scholarship that can be renewed for four years of college. Students must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a speech and hearing field of study. Students must have at least an 85% in all high school courses. Applications are available here.
2018 Annual Teaching Preparation Scholarship, Deadline: March 16, 2018
Cumberland County Chapter of the PA Association of School Retirees (CCCPASR) is
offering two one-time grants of $1000 each to two graduates of a Cumberland County
public high school who is going to be enrolled in a teaching preparation
program in a PA college/university for the 18-19 year. Applications are available here.

Professionals (PAEOP) Hermine Solt Student Scholarship, Deadline: March 1, 2018
is a $500 scholarship that was established in 1992 for the purpose of aiding
students in PA to pursue higher education in a business-related field. This scholarship will be given to an eligible
senor applicant graduating from a PA high school to be used as either tuition
assistance or as a school bookstore credit at any approved 2 or 4 year post-secondary

Ernest R. McDowell Health Career

PA Daughters of the American Revolution,
Deadline: February 28, 2018
PA State Society Daughters of the American Revolution offers three different
scholarships. The PSSDAR Student
Scholarship is available to any graduating senior planning to attend a college
or university. The PSSDAR Louise V.
Nelson Nursing Scholarship is available to any graduating senior accepted into
an accredited nursing program at a hospital or college/university. The Mary Reider American History Scholarship
is available to any senior accepted into a course of study in American History
at an accredited college/university. There is a general application for all three of these scholarships and

National Society Daughters of the American
Revolution, Deadline: February 15, 2018
National Society offers several scholarships with specific criteria for
submission. The available scholarships

The PACB Foundation Scholarship,
Deadline: February 23, 2018
The PACB Foundation provides scholarships to children of PACB member institutions’ employees and directors. The scholarships are available to seniors who are planning to attend an accredited college, university or community college on a full time basis. Applications are available here.
PenSPRA 2018 Scholarship Program,
Deadline: March 9, 2018
The PA School Public Relations Association offers three
$1000 scholarships, one in each of its three regions, for public school
students planning to major in communications or public relations. Applications and more information are

County Hispanic Coalition Scholarship, Deadline: March 9, 2018
are awarded to students entering their first year of post-secondary education
in Fall 2018. Each scholarship is valued at $500 for a 2 year program or $1,000
for a 4 year program; it can be used for tuition only. Applicants must be of Hispanic/Latino
heritage and reside in York County. Applications and more information are available here.
ASHE (Harrisburg) Engineering Scholarship,
Deadline: April 6, 2018
A minimum of 7 scholarships of at least $2000 will be awarded. Applicants must be planning to enroll in a four year college program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably civil engineering. More information and applications are available here.
Congress-Bundestag Vocational Youth
Exchange Program, Deadline: January 31,
program allows graduating high school seniors to spend a year in Germany living
with a host family, participating in a school or training program and getting

Altrusa International of South Central PA,

is an academic scholarship for individuals enrolled or aspiring to enroll in a

The Harrisburg Singers’ Patricia Reber Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: February 13, 2018
scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of $1000, drafted to both the

college, university or consdrvatory for the study of Music Education, Music
Performance, Music Theater or Music Therapy, with a concentration in volcal

The goal of the Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Program is to encourage more young women to participate in public and political life by recognizing a young woman’s commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements, and dedication to the advancement of the status of women.
