The Foundation for Enhancing Communities has numerous scholarships for students, some specific only to Cedar Cliff. More information can be found at www.tfec.org.

Stock & Leader Scholarship Award, Deadline: May 4, 2018

This scholarship is offered to a graduating senior who will be an Education or Pre-Law major in the Fall at an accredited college or university. One award will be given though students from both CC and RL may apply. Applications are available hereCompleted applications must be returned to Ms. Thorpe by the deadline.

Green Lane Farms Scholarship

Any students who reside in Green Lane Farms are encouraged to check out their website for a scholarship opportunity.

Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program, Deadline: June 15, 2018

Eligible students must have completed or will complete high school this Spring. They must be enrolled in a 2 year or less career or technical degree/certificate program in Fall 2018, attend a not-for-profit post-secondary institution, demonstrate financial need through their eligibility for the Pell Grant, be a US citizen. Applications are available at www.application.horatioalger.org.

Cumberland County Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation Scholarship, Deadline: April 30, 2018

High school seniors who will be pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice or a related field are encouraged to apply. Students must be residents of Cumberland County in order to be eligible for this $1000 scholarship. Applications are available here.

Walter T. Lightner Memorial Scholarships, Deadline: April 27, 2018

To qualify students must have a New Cumberland Federal Credit Union account in their name. Additionally, students need to be planning to further their education after high school and have a minimum of a 2.5 high school grade point average. Applications are available here.

Central PA Down Syndrome Scholarship, Deadline: April 23, 2018

The Central PA Down Syndrome Awareness group is sponsoring a $500 scholarship to students planning to enroll in college to study Special Education. Applications are available here.

West Shore Secretaries & Aides Association Scholarship, Deadline: April 23, 2018

To apply for this award, an applicant must be a graduating senior at CC or RL and planning to further their education by earning an Associate’sor Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or Education. Applications and more information are available here.

WSEA Scholarship, Deadline: April 30, 2018

This scholarship is open to all CC seniors; however, preference will be given to those pursuing post-secondary training and a career that involves som sort of educational/child services. Applications are available here.

Spark Scholarship Fund, Deadline: May 21, 2018

High school seniors who plan to attend an accredited college or university in the fall, with a demonstrated record of leadership and community service should apply. Applicants must submit this form with a personal college statement, college acceptance letter, high school transcripts and documentation of leadership and community service.

Mattress Help Scholarship Program, Deadline: September 25, 2018

Eligible students are high school seniors who are US citizens with a 3.0 gpa and planning to pursue a degree at an accredited US post-secondary institution. To apply, please create a short video (no longer than 5 minutes) that answers the following:

  • What factors most negatively and positively affect your sleep?
  • Assess the quality of your own sleep health and discuss some ways that you can improve it.
  • Make your video creative and impactful both to yourself and others.
  • The most creative submission will win the scholarship each year.

Upload your video to YouTube, make sure it is titles “Mattress Help Scholarship Submission—Your Name—Year” and include the link when you submit your application at contact@mattresshelp.org.

Altrusa International of South Central PA, Deadline: May 1, 2018

This is an academic scholarship for individuals enrolled or aspiring to enroll in a post-secondary education program. Eligible candidates must plan to be enrolled at a college, university or vocational, technical or business institution during the 2018-19 academic year. Applications are available here.

2018 Road to Safety Scholarship Contest, Deadline: April 27, 2018

Graduating, college-bound seniors may submit a creative project about the dangers of drunk and/or distracted driving for their chance to win college scholarship money. Selected first, second and third place winners will receive $1000, $750 and $500 scholarships. Entry forms are available for download at www.arrivealivepa.com.

BigSun Scholarship, Deadline: June 19, 2018

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Visit www.bigsunathletics.com to learn how to apply.

The Sergeant Philip German Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Deadline: June 1, 2018

The applicant must be a high school graduate of a school in PA and the child of a US Veteran. This is a one year scholarship in an amount not exceeding $5000 (actual amount of award will be based on the number of qualified applicants) to be applied toward tuition costs for enrollment in an accredited college or university. M&T employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to receive this award. Applications are available here.

Irvin E. Herr Foundation, Deadline: May 15, 2018

This is a one year scholarship in an amount not exceeding $2000 to be applied toward tuition costs for enrollment in an accredited college or university. The applicant must be a high school graduate of a school within the counties of Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry or Northumberland Counties. M&T employees and their immediate family members are not eligible. Applications are available here.
