Stock & Leader Scholarship Award,
Deadline: May 4, 2018
scholarship is offered to a graduating senior who will be an Education or
Pre-Law major in the Fall at an accredited college or university. One award will be given though students from
both CC and RL may apply. Applications

to Ms. Thorpe by the deadline.

Horatio Alger National Career &
Technical Scholarship Program, Deadline: June 15, 2018
students must have completed or will complete high school this Spring. They must be enrolled in a 2 year or less
career or technical degree/certificate program in Fall 2018, attend a
not-for-profit post-secondary institution, demonstrate financial need through
their eligibility for the Pell Grant, be a US citizen. Applications are available at www.application.horatioalger.org.
Cumberland County Law Enforcement Memorial
Foundation Scholarship, Deadline: April
school seniors who will be pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice or a related
field are encouraged to apply. Students
must be residents of Cumberland County in order to be eligible for this $1000

Walter T. Lightner Memorial Scholarships,
Deadline: April 27, 2018
qualify students must have a New Cumberland Federal Credit Union account in
their name. Additionally, students need
to be planning to further their education after high school and have a minimum
of a 2.5 high school grade point average. Applications are available here.
Central PA Down Syndrome Scholarship,
Deadline: April 23, 2018
Central PA Down Syndrome Awareness group is sponsoring a $500 scholarship to

West Shore Secretaries & Aides
Association Scholarship, Deadline: April

Mattress Help Scholarship Program,

students are high school seniors who are US citizens with a 3.0 gpa and
planning to pursue a degree at an accredited US post-secondary
institution. To apply, please create a
short video (no longer than 5 minutes) that answers the following:
- What factors most negatively and positively
affect your sleep?
- Assess the quality of your own sleep health and
discuss some ways that you can improve it.
- Make your video creative and impactful both to
yourself and others.
- The most creative submission will win the
scholarship each year.

2018 Road to Safety Scholarship Contest, Deadline: April 27, 2018
college-bound seniors may submit a creative project about the dangers of drunk
and/or distracted driving for their chance to win college scholarship
