Parent Guides
The Skills List Pamphlets are recommended to be used by teachers, students, administrators, and parents. For students, the Skill Pamphlets promote the Student Metacognition templates as a guide to be used for goal setting to support enrichment or intervention. From a parent perspective, the Skills Pamphlet provides them with an understandable list of the skills students learn in their grade or course; thus, it is an excellent tool for discussion at parent-teacher conferences. Although the skills in the Skills Pamphlets are not the curriculum, the skills listed within each diagnostic category are assessed.
The English Language Arts summary for each grade or high school grade band describes the expected performance in English Language Arts that students in that grade or course are expected to demonstrate. The Diagnostic Category Skills List provides descriptions of skills that students can be expected to demonstrate within each Diagnostic Category. While this list does not include every possible skill that students may encounter, it does provide a representative sample for each diagnostic category.
The Mathematics summary for each grade or high school course (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry) describes the expected performance in Mathematics that students in that grade or course are expected to demonstrate.
