Focuses on prevention and intervention initiatives operated by schools, organizations, and agencies serving children, youth and families.
CHIP
Pennsylvania's CHIP program puts health coverage within reach for all uninsured kids and teens who are not eligible for or enrolled in Medical Assistance.
Cumberland-Perry Drug & Alcohol Commission
Provides a comprehensive list of services offered locally including a downloadable listing of secure medication collection boxes and prescription medication disposal guidelines.

Red Land Community Action Program and Community Progress Council
Provides case management services and emergency services such as food and energy assistance. Some programs developing include: GED Classes, Financial Literacy, Nutrition Classes, Resume Building, Job Application Assistance, Job Fairs, and Support Groups.

This initiative, made possible by the Pennsylvania Association of Intermediate Units and the Pennsylvania Association of Elementary and Secondary Schools in consultation with the Cumberland-Perry Drug and Alcohol Commission, Byrnes Health Education Center, and Gaudenzia, Inc. is designed to be a resource for school staff and parents.
