The District Advisory Council (DAC) to the ESL program serves to improve knowledge of broad-based ESL goals and inform administration, parents, and the community about the program.

Objectives

1. To review ESL programs and practices of the district. 
2. To provide a two-way communication between school personnel and community.
3. To assist in evaluation of ESL programs.
4. To encourage volunteerism in the program.
5. To take full advantage of the special expertise from the various professions represented in the community.
6. To help keep the Board advised of ESL issues and how well goals are met.
7. To provide input on community resources and effective utilization of federal funding.
