Volunteers Needed for Middle School Career Awareness Fair - November 1st
Dental Career Demo
On Thursday, November 1, from 8:30 a.m. to noon the District will hold its annual Middle School Career Awareness Fair for eighth grade students. The event is open to students at all three middle schools and will be hosted by Crossroads Middle School.  As students start to think about high school and their future after graduation, it is important for them to be exposed to different career possibilities. The fair provides students the opportunity to learn about a variety of careers and speak to individuals working in them.

We are currently looking for volunteers to speak at the Career Fair.  The format for the event is very casual, with students moving through and gathering information on careers that interest them in 45 minute blocks of time.

We ask that participants arrive between 8:15-8:30 a.m. for registration, continental breakfast, and an overview of the day.  We encourage all volunteers to address education requirements, job market availability, working conditions, and any other aspects of your employment associated with your particular field.  We will provide you with a table and chairs.  Please feel free to bring props, handouts, etc. associated with your career. At the conclusion of the fair lunch will be provided.
