Sign Up Now for our Summer Band Program
The District's Summer Band Program will run from Monday, June 14 through Thursday, July 22, 2021. Students in grades 4-8 who are currently playing a band instrument at their school are eligible to participate in the program.  All lessons and rehearsals are at Red Land High School.  The program will not be in session on Monday, July 5, 2021.

Participating students are provided with a weekly small group lesson and a weekly large group band rehearsal.  The culminating activity is a concert for the parents/guardians scheduled for July 22, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at Red Land High School.  Students are expected to provide their own instrument, supplies, and lesson book.

Music instruction will occur in sessions of approximately one hour, Monday through Thursday, between 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The schedule for weekly small group lessons and weekly large group will depend on the number of students that enroll in the program. Parents/Guardians will be notified of the exact times for lessons and band rehearsal by the end of the week of June 11.  Although, it is not necessary to attend all lessons or the concert to participate in the summer program, please check your family calendar in advance, as the registration fee is non-refundable after June 18, 2021.

Cost
Course Fees are $175 for residents and $200 for non-residents per student with scholarship assistance available.

Summer music payments will be collected online utilizing the K12PaymentCenter.  This is the same payment system utilized for the school lunch program.  Current WSSD families who choose to utilize K12PaymentCenter to make payment will need a valid email address and the student’s identification number for the resident rate.  Each student in the District has an identification number regardless of whether or not they have made a prior purchase in the cafeteria.  This number is found by logging into PowerSchool online (the number is not available in the mobile app).  The student's ten-digit identification number appears immediately after the student's middle name across the top of the screen.

Non-residents may also make payment using the K12PaymentCenter.  Non-residents will make payment by visiting the K12PaymentCenter and sign in by selecting the Continue as a Guest located on the lower portion of the Sign-In Here box.
Resident and non-resident parents, who prefer not to utilize the K12PaymentCenter should submit a check made payable to West Shore School District as follows:  West Shore School District, Attention Summer Music, 507 Fishing Creek Road, P.O. Box 803, New Cumberland, PA 17070.

If you have any questions about making your payment, please email [email protected].
