Meal Program Information for the 2020-2021 School Year
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Student Meal Accounts
Meals this year are free. So, if your child has funds in their student meal account, that money may be used to purchase a la carte items when they are available. If a positive balance remains in June for students in grades K-11, we will automatically carry those funds over to next school year. Refunds from student meal accounts will be granted when a student graduates, leaves the District, or a special circumstance necessitates.

UPDATED OCTOBER 30, 2020

All students are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch for free the ENTIRE school year.  Thanks to changes in regulations, that includes students who are returning for in person instruction the week of October 13, and those who are continuing to work remotely with Distance Learning 2.0.

Free In Person Meals
Students are able to choose between the day’s hot entrée, cold entrée, or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. While serving sizes are the same as last year, students are no longer able to double up on fruits and vegetables. Additionally, students are required to take all meal components including a fruit, vegetable, and their choice of white or chocolate milk. This is a change in the free and reduced program from last school year.

We do sell milk and bottled water, but encourage students to take the entire free meal, instead of buying just a drink. Unfortunately, following currently government guidelines, we are not permitted to distribute milk only for free. Students must take the entire meal and all its sides.

A la carte offerings will be extremely limited as we transition back; however, we intend on offering more a la carte choices (especially at the secondary level).
