All buildings will operate on a two-hour delay with modified kindergarten tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7.
At this time, the weather forecast is causing concern for some of our bus routes for the next school day. Given the distances our buses travel and the number of students who walk or drive to school each day, we feel the delayed start to the school day is in the best interest and safety of our students and staff. The two-hour delay will allow our local municipalities time to address areas of concern. It will also give our transportation and maintenance teams time to ensure buses are ready to transport students and buildings are ready to warmly receive them.
As a reminder, on days when school is delayed:
- Buses/vans will arrive to pick up students two hours later than their scheduled arrival time.
- Schools will open two hours after their normal start time.
- Kindergarten students will follow a modified schedule with morning kindergarten/KAP from 10:50 a.m.-12:50 p.m. and afternoon kindergarten/KAP from 12:50-3:35 p.m. Buses will pick up afternoon kindergarten students at their scheduled time.
- Breakfast will be served at the secondary level only.
- Transportation will be provided for students who attend Cumberland Perry Area Career and Technical Center (CPACTC) following the delayed start of school.
- Students in ExCEL Virtual Learning Academy/CAOLA will follow their regular schedule.
Thank you for your understanding.
