Description:
Due to the damage caused by yesterday’s record rainfall, today, Thursday, September 2, 2021, will be a remote learning day for all students.

Students will follow a modified schedule as they did yesterday, with Zoom links provided by their teachers via Schoology or Seesaw.  If you have any specific questions about the Zoom link to be used, please contact your child's teacher.

Elementary - Morning Kindergarten and Grades 1-5 will begin classes at 8:30 a.m. with a morning meeting. Afternoon Kindergarten will begin at 10:30 a.m. All elementary students will end classes by noon.

Middle and High School - Middle and High School students will begin at 8:30 a.m. Additional information will be shared with students via Schoology.

Special Education & Low Incidence Students can anticipate additional information from their teacher regarding their schedule for the day.

ExCEL Virtual Learning Academy and CAOLA Students will follow their regular schedule.

Cumberland Perry Area Career and Technical Center (CTC) students will not have face-to-face instruction. Students should refer to information provided by CTC relative to their work expectations for the day.

We understand this storm has had a significant impact on our families and staff. Some areas remain flooded, some homes may be without power, and many families are responding to damage caused by the rainfall. Therefore, all students will be considered present unless the school is notified that the student will be absent for the day.

If your child is unable to attend classes remotely, we do ask that you communicate with their teacher(s) as soon as your situation allows. Additionally, your child will need to complete any missed assignments within one week.

District and school offices will open at 8 a.m. unless otherwise noted on our website. If your family is in need of assistance as a result of this storm, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s counselor or principal for support.

Sincerely,

Todd B. Stoltz, Ed.D.
Superintendent
