Course Selection Information for 2019-2020

The 2019-2020 Course Selection Manual is posted online to assist high school and eighth grade students, and their parents, in choosing rigorous academic courses aligned with a selected career field, program, and pathway.  The intentional focus on the PACER (Personalized Academic & Career Education Roadmap) is the student’s post-secondary education, military options, and/or employment opportunities for life after high school.

Each high school will host a Course Selection Night on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 7 p.m. Parents/guardians and their student are strongly encouraged to attend. During Course Selection Night, information and guidance will be provided on the career pathways and course selection process.

In addition, counselors will be visiting classrooms at both the middle schools and the high schools to provide students with any information they may need to make informed selections for next year.

Online Course Selection will be open to parents/students on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 and close on Friday, February 8, 2019.

The 2019-2020 Course Selection Manual may be downloaded below (due to the file size, the download may take a few moments). Please note, if you download the file and save it onto your computer instead of viewing it in the browser window, you will be able to navigate the sections using bookmarks on the left. Google Chrome users please look for the down arrow in the upper right to quickly download the file.

Printed copies of the Course Selection Manual can be picked up in the guidance offices after January 3, 2019. Course Selection Cards will also be available in the offices and can be downloaded below. Be sure to use the card for the grade the student will be entering during the 2019-2020 school year.
