West Shore School District Takes Next Steps for Athletic Fields at Red Land High School

The West Shore School District is excited to announce the next phase in the development of athletic fields at Red Land High School, as more than $2 million has already been earmarked for the project. School leaders, local legislators, and township officials will come together on Friday, May 9 at Noon at Red Land High School to raise awareness for the next phase of the campus improvements.

Thanks in large part to efforts made by the local community, a new hitting facility for baseball and softball was constructed, and a $1 million grant supported campus improvements to address accessibility to the athletic fields. These improvements mark a key development in the vision for a modern, multi-purpose field that will benefit not only the school’s athletic teams, but enrich the entire community and its programs.

Event Details:
  • Date: May 9, 2025
  • Time: 12:00 PM
  • Location: Red Land High School, 560 Fishing Creek Road, Lewisberry, PA, 17339

State legislators from across the District, as well as representatives from local township offices, will be in attendance. These officials have been essential in securing financial support for the project, and their continued involvement underscores the collaborative efforts to improve community resources and educational facilities.

“The financial support for these improvements so far is a testament to the incredible support from the community about enhancing our students’ athletic experiences," Dr. Todd Stoltz, West Shore School District Superintendent of Schools, said. "The upcoming phase, which will include the installation of a turf field, will add much needed practice and competition space that will benefit numerous student groups across the District.”

No formal timeline exists for the completion of the facility. Those in attendance will learn about the work completed behind the scenes to date and opportunities in which the community can become involved in additional collective efforts as the project continues.
