The West Shore School District will apply through the Education Flexibility Partnership Act of 1999 for federal funds to improve reading proficiency at Fishing Creek and Red Mill Elementary Schools, which did not qualify for Title 1 funds.

 

2019-2020 Title 1 funds are available for six (6) schools and the District is seeking a waiver to allow use of these funds at Fishing Creek and Red MIll Elementary Schools as well.  A waiver would allow for equity in service to all elementary schools to assure that all students have achieved reading proficiency by grade 3.

 

With regard to the non-public schools in need of similar services to children, the District complies with equity of service to those institutions.
