The District does not carry medical insurance on students; however, it does provide parents with the opportunity to select a primary excess group insurance plan for their child. Since many group insurance policies no longer pay full hospital and medical expenses and many require a deductible or co-insurance, student accident insurance can help eliminate the possibility of out-of-pocket expenses.  There are two plans available for your consideration.
