Mrs. A. Smith

All About Mrs. Smith

I graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a Masters degree in Special Education.  I have taught preschool, first grade, and was a remedial math teacher for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.  This is my third year in the district teaching first grade.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids.  My son, Caden, is seven years old and loves playing sports.  I have a 4-year-old daughter, Brynn, who loves playing with her dolls.  As a family we enjoy playing outside and walking our boxer, Mya.  We spent much of the summer swimming and visiting Hershey Park. I enjoy reading mystery books and shopping.

I’m very excited to meet you all and look forward to having a wonderful school year.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have regarding your child’s education.  Parents are the child’s first teacher.  I strongly believe in working together as a team to ensure a positive school experience.  The best way to contact me is through email or call the school.  My email is

Take home folders should be brought home each day.  Please check the folder daily.  Any papers on the take home side should be emptied each night.  Papers on the back to school side should be signed and returned.  Weekly assignment sheets will stay in the folder on the back to school side all week.  This is where you will find classroom information and daily homework assignments.
