*(4/6/10) - THE HERSHEY STORY'S HISTORY CONTEST 2ND PLACE WINNER: -Congratulations to Ashley B for winning 2nd place in The Hershey Story's History Contest. Ashley's project, titled: "The Abolitionist's Anthem," was in the Senior Poetry division. Her entry was chosen from 483 competing projects. Way to go Ashley! *(3/30/10) - SUPERSTAR TEAM AWARDS RECIPIENTS FOR JANUARY, FEBRUARY & MARCH: -Congratulations to the following students for being selected as award winners for the "Superstars" and were recognized at the "Team" assembly on Tuesday, March 30, 2010. *(3/25/10) - CAIU REGIONAL COMPUTER FAIR PLACE WINNER: -Congratulations to Scott S for winning 3rd place at the CAIU Regional Computer Fair. Scott's project, titled: "My Poetry Terms," was in the Multimedia Presentation category. Way to go Scott! *(3/24/10) - SUPERSTAR E.C.O. PAPER FOOTBALL WINNERS: -Congratulations to Logan A for winning Mr. McClintock's Day 4 E.C.O. Paper Football competition against 20 other participants. However, score one for the "old-timer", Mr. McClintock, for winning the Day 6 competition against 20 other participants! *(3/23/10) - SUPERSTAR TEAM SATURDAY STUDY SESSION: -There will be a SATURDAY MORNING study session for students with grade concerns THIS SATURDAY (3/27) FROM 8-10 A.M.! *(3/19/10) - SUPERSTAR TEAM AWARDS ASSEMBLY FOR JANUARY, FEBRUARY & MARCH:

David will now take a test to qualify for the PA State Geo Bee to be held later this spring. Way to go David & good luck! *(1/8/10) - CMS GEOGRAPHY BEE: -Congratulations to David K for being selected to participate in the CMS Geography Bee on Wednesday, January 13. Good luck to David as he represents the SUPERSTAR TEAM during the competition! *(12/22/09) - SUPERSTAR TEAM AWARD RECIPIENT: -Congratulations to Jacob R for being selected as the "Improved Student" award winner for the month of November for the "Superstars". Your effort, strong character & positive attitude is appreciated. Good luck at your new school & continue to make positive contributions! The "Superstar" Team of teachers & students wish you well. *(12/21/09) - SUPERSTAR TEAM AWARDS ASSEMBLY FOR NOVEMBER & DECEMBER: -The next "Team" awards assembly will be on Thursday, January 14, 2010. Some students will be recognized for "Student of the Month, Citizenship & Improved Student" awards. Parents & guests of award recipients will be invited to attend the assembly. *(12/14/09) - 2nd MP "INTERIM" GRADE PROGRESS REPORT: -Some students (Parents not registered for the "PowerSchool" grading report program) who had a grade of a 77% or lower in a "Core" subject (L. Arts, Math, Science, S. Studies) received a grade printout from the "Team" in the mail last week regarding their below average progress for the 2nd marking period. Students who received interim reports in the mail need GET THEIR SLIP SIGNED & RETURNED TO THEIR HOMEROOM TEACHER BY FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18! Parents are encouraged to contact the CMS Office to register for "PowerSchool" ASAP! *(12/1/09) - "HEADS-UP & THUMBS-UP" FORMS: -Some students received slips today regarding their progress for the 2nd marking period. Students that received "Thumbs-Up" are to be commended. Students that received "Heads-Up" are not meeting expectations and need to improve their performance PLUS GET THEIR SLIP SIGNED & RETURNED TO THEIR HOMEROOM TEACHER BY FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4! Students that did not receive a slip are progressing at an average rate. *(11/24/09) - PARENT/PORTFOLIO CONFERENCES: -The Superstar Team would like to thank all parents & students that attended the conferences this week! *(11/17/09) - PARENT/PORTFOLIO CONFERENCE CONFIRMATION SLIPS: -Students that returned conference forms began receiving slips today confirming the date, time & location of their parent or portfolio conference on Monday, November 23, or Tuesday, November 24. Parent (Traditional) conferenceswill be held for students with specific academic and/or behavioral concerns in Room 215, while Portfolio (Student-led) conferences will be held in each "Core" class on those dates for the remaining students to present their work to parents. ALL PARENTS are to complete the form and have their student return it to THEIR HOMEROOM TEACHER BY MONDAY 11/16. Parent (Traditional) conferenceswill be held for students with specific academic and/or behavioral concerns. Portfolio (Student-led) conferences will also be held for the remaining students to present their work to parents. STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND ALL PARENT OR PORTFOLIO CONFERENCES! See the files below for a copy of either the parent conference letter (students with F's) or the portfolio conference letter that were sent home. *(11/9/09) - SUPERSTAR TEAM AWARDS ASSEMBLY FOR SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER: -The first "Team" awards assembly will be on Friday, November 9, 2009. Some students will be recognized for "Student of the Month, Citizenship & Improved Student" awards. Parents & guests of award recipients will be invited to attend the assembly. *(11/9/09) - FALL PARENT/PORTFOLIO CONFERENCES: -The Fall conference dates are set for Monday, November 23, and Tuesday, November 24. The team will be contacting the parents of students via letter later this week with more information. Parent (Traditional) conferenceswill be held for students with specific academic and/or behavioral concerns (THE TEAM WILL SEND A LETTER REQUESTING A PARENT CONFERENCE).
