Michele Trevino
Washington Heights is a diverse group of learners nestled in Lemoyne.  We are a true neighborhood school with many families living within walking distance.  We have academic programs for Title 1 reading, English as a Second Language, and Special Education.  Students in grades 4-5 can also opt to take instrumental music lessons through school.  Our school follows a school-wide positive behavior incentive program and all students are encouraged to S.O.A.R. and  follow the "Eagles Way".  We also have a full time nurse, school counselor, and school social worker to support the needs of the whole child while here at school.  Thank you for your interest in our school.

VOLUNTEERS:  Thank you to all the parents who completed the Volunteer approval process this year.  The information can be found here. Volunteering at school is an excellent way to experience first hand the educational environment your child is a part of each day.  If you plan to attend a field trip you MUST be approved.  Please contact Mrs. Trevino or your child’s teacher about ways you can volunteer at school.

Please remember that school opens at 8:30 am each day and students should be dropped off as close to this time as possible.  Also, We dismiss at 3:30 pm, so please plan your pick-ups for this time.  We have many students walking to and from school, so PLEASE be cautious when driving to/from school.  Always stop for any stop signs.

PTO:  Washington Heights also has a strong parent group that supports the school.  They provide field trips for all grades of students, playground equipment, classroom materials, and holiday parties.  The PTO also sponsors many family events each month at school.  They meet the first Monday of every month here in the Washington Heights library at 7:00 pm.  They can also be reached via email at [email protected]. Won't you please join us?

Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] or by calling 717-761-8040.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Michele Trevino
Principal
