May Message

Mr. Flohr & Mrs. Wagner

Greetings Red Mill Families,

The students at Red Mill Elementary make all of us proud each and every day. Their perseverance, hard work, and dedication has been remarkable this past month! This is especially true of our third, fourth, and fifth grade students as they took the PSSAs by STORM.  We are so proud of them!

As we enter a new month, we are encouraging our students to finish strong.  There is still much to accomplish, and we are looking forward to seeing how much they have grown. Dwayne Johnson said, “Success isn’t always about greatness. It is about consistency. Consistent hard works leads to success. Greatness will come.” We want our students to achieve greatness and it will be through that consistent hard work this last month of the school year.

Our fourth graders have been hard at work during Genius Hour. They are working to invent a solution to daily problems the average person encounters. The culmination of this “Inventors Challenge” will take place on Thursday, May 3rd (5:00 p.m.). The students will be presenting their inventions and we will see their wonderful minds at work. The school community cannot wait to see what they have accomplished. Please join us and cast your vote!

The musical talents of our band, orchestra, and chorus will be on display at our Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 16th @ 7:00 PM @ Red Mill. Come out to see our talented students.

The PTO is planning a May Fair on Wednesday, May 23rd at 5:00 PM. Swing by for some food, fun, and family time. Immediately following the May Fair is our Open House at 6:30 PM. Check out the artwork and classrooms. We hope to see you there.

As a reminder, students should not be dropped off before 8:30 AM. If you drop your child off, please talk to him/her about entering the building right away. We should not have students running around front. Thank you for your assistance with this.
