Homework Policy

Homework Policy

The homework policy is as follows:

*Handed in on due date= up to 100% (full credit)

*Handed in on next school day= up to 50% (half credit)

*Handed in past 2nd day= 0% (no credit)

*HOMEWORK IS DUE WHEN IT IS COLLECTED. ON TIME IS DEFINED AS WHEN IT IS COLLECTED BY THE TEACHER. ANYTIME AFTER THAT IT IS CONSIDERED LATE (WITHIN THE ONE DAY "LATE" GRACE PERIOD).

*No credit is given for incomplete work on the due date. It may be completed for half credit and turned in the following day.

*Projects are also expected to be handed in on the due date. Late projects will be scored according to the homework policy.

The curriculum incorporates three essential areas of instruction: literature, grammar, and vocabulary. Homework is assigned in each of these domains in conjunction with the present syllabus. Lesson responses (worksheets, writing assignments, reflection questions, etc.) are assigned accordingly (not necessarily every night) and are worth between 20 and 50 points.
